If you don't know what a proxy is and can't access Google, don't worry about it. Just remember not to use Google, Gemini, or OpenAI ChatGPT.
Do NOT randomly fill in the Network Proxy Address
or enter the API address there. You can leave it blank, but don't fill it with incorrect information.
If you know what a proxy is and that you're using a proxy tool on your computer, and you can find the proxy port, then enter the proxy address in the "Network Proxy Address" box. It's generally in the format http://127.0.0.1:port_number
.
If you're using a v2ray-like software, enter http://127.0.0.1:10809
.
If you're using a Clash-like software, enter http://127.0.0.1:7890
.
Please remember: If you have deployed a local DeepL API, you need to enter the DeepL address in the "Settings Menu - DeepL" section, not in the network proxy address. Don't be confused about why it's not working if you put it in the wrong place.
Similarly, if you are using a domestic relay API for ChatGPT, you should also enter the API address in the "Settings Menu - OpenAI/ChatGPT" section, and not in the network proxy address.
Do I still need to fill it in if I have set up a system proxy?
Press Windows key + R key
, enter ms-settings:network-proxy
in the pop-up Run window, and then click OK.
If the settings panel that appears looks like the picture below, it means that the system proxy has been set up correctly, and you don't need to fill in the "Network Proxy Address" in the software.
