OpenAI Speech Recognition API for Transcription

This transcription method leverages the online OpenAI Speech Recognition API to convert audio to subtitles. You'll need a paid OpenAI account and provide the necessary information in the menu under "Speech Recognition Settings" -> "OpenAI Speech Recognition API." Then, you can use the OpenAI Recognition API in the main interface.

Automatic Language Detection

Starting with version v2.59, a new "Auto Detect" option has been added to the original language dropdown. If you're unsure of the language or it's not among the 24 supported languages, you can select "Auto Detect." The program will attempt to automatically identify the spoken language.

However, if possible, it's best to avoid this option, especially if there's no clear speech within the first 30 seconds of the video. This is because the automatic detection process uses the first 30 seconds of audio to determine the language for the entire video.

Another important point: some languages with similar pronunciations but different writing systems cannot be accurately identified and may be recognized as any one of them. For example, a Chinese video might be randomly recognized as Simplified or Traditional Chinese.
