Faster-Whisper Model Download Tool: Manually Download Models

By default, the software automatically downloads the required models. If you frequently encounter download failures or prefer to download them manually, you can use this dedicated model download tool.

1. Download the Tool:

   • For Users in China (Recommended):

     • Click to Download down_hf-mirror.exe
     • (Note: This version downloads from a domestic mirror site, offering faster speeds and typically requiring no additional network settings.)

   • For Overseas Users or Those with a Stable Proxy:

     • Click to Download down_huggingface.exe
     • (Note: This version downloads from the Hugging Face official website. It requires stable access to the global internet or a properly configured system proxy.)

2. How to Use:

   • Place the downloaded .exe file in the same folder as the main program (where sp.exe is located).
   • Double-click the downloaded .exe file. This will open a command-line window and automatically start downloading all the necessary models.
   • The download process may take some time, especially for the large series models, which are quite large. Please be patient and wait until the window indicates that all downloads are complete.

Important Notes:

• Models like large-v1, large-v2, and large-v3 are very large (several GB). If your network connection is unstable, downloads may fail.
• If a download fails, don't worry. Simply double-click the same .exe file again. It supports resuming interrupted downloads and will continue from where it left off.
